Fotini “Faye” Lazos, 75, of Atlanta, GA and Rhodos, Greece, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2020, in Chicago, IL. Faye was born February 23, 1945 on the island of Rhodos, Greece to George and Mary (Diasynos) Kyrianos. Along with her father and brother, Faye was a born chef with her earliest food memory at the age of 8, making avgolemono soup with her Dad in Greece.
At a young age, they moved to New York City where she secured her lifelong loves; her husband Spiros and cooking. She married her loving husband, Spiros Lazos, on July 4, 1970 and they had a beautiful life together as both husband and wife and business partners until his death on June 30, 2016. Leading with a quiet yet determined strength, she was progressive, resourceful and intelligent in and out of the kitchen. Faye became a friend to everyone she met, sharing endless entertaining stories, recipes and fun facts with colorful clarity. She led her life with determination, humor with an ounce of mischief, and endless love and selflessness.

May Her Memory Be Eternal
A life well lived! An inspiration to all for her work ethos, patience, love and dedication to family, relatives and friends. An example for her internal strength, determination and love of life. Fond memories of her will accompany everyone who has ever known her. She now lives in the permanent home prepared for her by her Lord and Maker, Jesus Christ, in heaven. Η μνήμη της της θα ζη αιώνια στην καρδιά μας.
It was my privilege to know Faye when, as an Oncology physician in Atlanta, GA, her husband, Spiros Lazos, came under my care. Faye was a model of strength and support for Spiros. At all times, she quietly listened, and her calm demeanor was evident and shored up Spiros’ confidence and determination. I ministered to many patients in my career and remember Faye to be a “stand-out”. Yes, Faye is in heaven and united with her beloved Spiros.
