Memory Eternal Funeral Directors has been upholding the core of Orthodox Christian beliefs for decades. We specialize in the sacred funeral traditions of the Greek Orthodox churches.
We serve all denominations following those particular faith traditions with reverence as we always have.
Through stewardship we have supported the Orthodox church initiatives throughout the Chicago metropolitan area and remain dedicated to volunteerism and service as we have for many years.
Our staff of experienced funeral directors have served veterans with traditional military funerals, firefighters, law enforcement and other community service traditions.
We also have extensive experience with shipping decedents to their final resting place, or from outside Chicagoland to us.
Family means everything to us. Our relationships continue long after a loss because we know grief continues after the initial mourning period. We will always be there for our beloved families.
It is our sincerest privilege to honor those lives lost with reverence and love.

Hear what people are saying...
Its’s Irene (James and Lilly’s daughter). I just wanted to thank you again for doing such a wonderful job for both of my parents. John and I were so lost and shocked when we first came to you after our father died. Your compassion and understanding were so helpful that day. The way you and Robert treated us certainly helped us get through one of the most difficult moments of our lives. I also can’t thank you enough for how you took care of my mom during my dad’s wake and funeral. You were so attentive to her and made it easier for us to grieve with her.
Fast forward ten days and here we go again. The fact that you called me when you were out to dinner with your son commemorating the loss of your husband to take care of the date error for my mom made such an impression on me even in my time of devastation.
After having the pleasure of sitting with you at lunch the other day and hearing more of your story, I had better understanding of how you truly fell into this profession. Although I’m sure you were great as a real estate agent and dental hygienist, I think you’ve found your true calling.
There is a warmth about you that makes people feel at ease.
There is so much more I want to say to you but I don’t want to make you read a novel!
I just wanted to let you know I think you are an amazing human being and that I will always consider you a friend for helping me and my family through this difficult time.
If it’s ok, I will reach out to you in the future as I know you have many connections that might be helpful as we move forward through this process.
Thank again to you, Robert, and Memory Eternal for making this impossible time a little more bearable.

Dear Vanessa, Olivia, Steve and Maria
Thank you all for your admirable teamwork and attention to details in making our husband, father and grandfather’s TAKIS ECONOMOPOULOS funeral so beautiful and tributory. You all in your own ways took such good care of every detail. Steve, our Dad looked great, Vanessa – John’s dress shirt was perfect, Olivia and Maria – all the details related to the funeral set up and process went so smoothly. Thank you all for your professionalism, kindness and compassion in our time of sorrow and mourning. Taki will now hopefully be visiting with John and smiling down together at all of us.
With love and gratitude,
The Takis Economopoulos Family,
Margarita, Maria(Angelo), Chrysoula and Vasili. Grandchildren: Eleni and Panayioti Kafkis
Olivia,
We both wanted to thank you for everything that you did for us. Especially, for getting such beautiful flowers at the last moment. We were very happy that you were able to get them there so quickly.
Much appreciated,
Amber and Beth Nash
Dear Vanessa and staff,
We cannot thank you enough for all the compassion you showed us during our time of grief. Everything was perfect for our Mother’s funeral and we are grateful to you and your team for all that you did.
Helen, Dora and John
Dear Vanessa,
As John did for us when my brother and father passed. You have done for us with my mom passing. It cannot be overstated how much this has meant to the Tamburo family, our faith is strong and we trust in our heavenly Father, through his son Jesus, that paradise awaits us of faith! God Bless!
John, Dan and Doreen,
On behalf of the entire Callas family we would like to express our thanks and gratitude for all the arrangements made for the funeral service for Andy. Everyone was so understanding and helpful, and helped make a difficult time more comforting. We cannot thank you enough for the support you gave us!
Thank you for a wonderful job planning the services for Dad. He was most precious to our family. Thank you for honoring his memory with your very meaningful tribute. We will forever be grateful!
