Bessie Hatzis née Kafkes, age 67, fell asleep in the Lord December 23, 2023. Beloved wife of James Hatzis for 41 years. Loving mother of George and Thomas (Melissa) Hatzis. Devoted daughter of the late Tom and Emily Kafkes. Proud grandmother of Jordan and James Hatzis. Dear sister of George (Anastasia) and Angelo (Lynn) Kafkes. Sister-in-law of Dino (Babette) Hatzis, Louis (the late Georgia) Hatzis and Marina (John) Trakas. Fond aunt and cousin of many.
Bessie loved and was loved dearly by all of her family and friends.
Visitation Friday, December 29, 2023 from 9:00 AM until time of Funeral Service 10:00 AM at Saint George Greek Orthodox Church, 2701 North Sheffield Avenue, Chicago, IL 60614. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Saint George Greek Orthodox Church would be appreciated.
