Joanne Stamatis née Merikas, age 52, fell asleep in the Lord November 11, 2023. Beloved wife of Anastasios Stamatis for 26 years. Loving mother of Alexandra and George Stamatis. Devoted daughter of the late John and Fotini Merikas. Fond aunt, cousin and Godmother of many.
Visitation Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 9:30 AM until time of Funeral Service 10:30 AM at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 601 South Central Avenue, Chicago, IL 60644. Interment will be private at Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove, IL. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Assumption Greek Orthodox Church or Saint George Greek Orthodox Church, 2701 North Sheffield Avenue, Chicago, IL 60614 would be appreciated.
