Socrates Shukas

We regretfully announce the passing of Socrates Shukas, age 96, who fell asleep in our Lord on April 15, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones. Beloved husband of Dorothea Shukas, nee Kapetanios. Loving father of Thomas (Diane) Shukas and Anastasia Shukas Keys. Proud grandfather of Socrates (Melody) Shukas and Dorothea Ann Keys. Dear brother of Alexandra Paspali. Cherished son of the late Thomas and Kyriakitsa Shukas. Fond uncle and friend of many who will miss him. Born in Tsiatista, Albania, migrated to Ioannina, Greece with his final journey to Chicago. Involved in the Pan-Epirotic Society and Tsatistinon Society of Northern Epirus of Chicago for many years. Proud member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Socrates will be forever remembered. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 10 a.m. until time of Funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 2701 N. Sheffield, Chicago, IL.
