Stanley Korbellas, age 92, fell asleep in the Lord December 18, 2023. Beloved husband of Georgia Korbellas née Kopulos for 48 years. Devoted son of the late John and Helen Korbellas née Papastefanou. Dear brother of the late Julia Mavrogianis and Diamond (the late Arline) Korbellas. Brother-in-law of Lee (Linda) Kopulos and Priscilla (Paul) Kuchuris. Fond uncle of Dorothea (Chris) Ganas, Nick (Patty) Mavrogianis, Maria, Suzanne, Luke Kopulos and Margo, Gregory, Brooke Kuchuris.
Stanley was a devoted member of Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church and an AHEPA Northshore #94 of Chicago. He was a world traveler and loved to play golf. Stanley was a gentle soul and a man of few words. Stanley worked for the City of Chicago Department of Aviation.
Visitation Friday, December 22, 2023 from 9:30 AM until time of Funeral Service 10:30 AM at Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2727 West Winona Street, Chicago, IL 60625. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church would be appreciated.
