Anthony Rafel, age 68, fell asleep in the Lord July 15, 2021. Devoted son of George and Joan (nee Maurides) Rafel. Dear brother of Catherine (Guy) Edelman and Barbara (Patrick McGarrigle) Rafel. Cherished uncle of Lucas, Hillary, Nicholas Edelman and Kevan McGarrigle. Fond cousin of many. He was the first baby boy born in Chicago in the year 1953. Tony was a proud alumni of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology where he received his engineering degree. He was the President of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. Always quick to smile, a soft soul with a prodigious memory. Visitation Monday, July 19, 2021 from 10:30 AM until time of Funeral Service 11:00 AM at Saints Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 1401 Wagner Road, Glenview, IL.
