Evangeline Mistaras, age 93, fell asleep in the Lord July 18, 2021. Devoted daughter of the late Apostolos and Theodora Mistaras. Cousin of the late Martha (the late Tom) Seletos, Steven (Nikoletta) Mistaras and Victoria Mistaras in Larissa, Greece. Evangeline earned two masters degrees in library science from the University of Chicago and was the head of the reference library at Northeastern University as well as being a librarian at the Chicago Public Library. She was a founding member of the National Hellenic Museum. Evangeline was a Sunday School teacher and ran the book store at Saint Andrew Greek Orthodox Church. Visitation Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service 10:30 AM at Saint Andrew Greek Orthodox Church, 5649 North Sheridan Road, Chicago. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove, IL. Kindly omit flowers. Memorial donations to Saint Andrew Greek Orthodox Church would be appreciated.
