Dhimiter Gjermani, age 87, fell asleep in the Lord March 2, 2024. Beloved husband of Kaliopi Gjermani née Kaparo for 60 years. Loving father of Eleonor (Niko) Mastaka, Ana (George) Dheftos and George (Efie) Gjermano. Devoted son of the late Panajioti and Aspasia Gjermani. Proud grandfather of Eleni (Doug) Niebur, Yanna Mastaka, Yoni Dheftos, Steve Dheftos, Magdalene Gjermano and Demetris Gjermano. Great grandfather of Nora and Henry Niebur. Dear brother of the late George, Maria and Mina. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Friend to many.

Throughout his life, Dhimiter helped and supported many people. He was a loving and nurturing father that dedicated himself to instilling strong values into his children, who, in turn, carried out this legacy through his grandchildren. He was an amazing husband, father, wonderful grandfather, and a role model to all who knew him. He was someone who always had a positive outlook on life. His life was full, and was the result of hard work, patience, and persistence. His constant optimism will continue to bring out the best in us.

Visitation Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 12:00 Noon until time of Funeral Service 1:00 PM at Saints Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 1401 Wagner Road, Glenview, IL 60025. Interment to follow at Ridgewood Memorial Park Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Saints Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church would be appreciated.
