Christos Aralis, age 91, fell asleep in the Lord February 23, 2024. Beloved husband of Effie Aralis née Diamantopoulos for 58 years. Loving father of Tom (Georgia) Aralis, Evagelia (Alexandros) Pappas, Dimitra Aralis and Christine (Harry) Perakis. Devoted son of the late Anastasios and Evagelia Aralis. Proud grandfather of Nicholas, Christina and Andrew Pappas, Maria and Effie Perakis and Daniel and Demetri Aralis. Dear brother of Gust (Anna) Aralis, Theodora (the late Sotirios) Litsogiannis and the late Georgia (Spyros) Boznos and Eleni (the late Efstathios) Zaharopoulos. Fond uncle, cousin, koumbaro and friend of many.

Christos “Christ” Aralis was born March 20, 1932 in Achladokambos, Argolidos – Greece.  In 1951, he left his home country to pursue a better life in America for himself and his family.

With a zest for life and a forward-thinking attitude, Christ became a business leader in his community. Together with his brother, Gust, they founded Quality Food Products, Inc. and Quality Foreign Products, Inc. in Chicago, Illinois, and Quality Egg Farm, Inc. in Bristol, Wisconsin. He was known to be kind, fair and always helpful to others earning respect and love from many who knew him.

Christ was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church in Glenview, Illinois serving on the parish council in his earlier years, and a life long member of the Brotherhood Achladokambiton, serving as president along with other positions during his lifetime.

Christ’s greatest pride and joy was his family – his wife, children and grandchildren. As the patriarch of his family, he often gathered them with a bit of wine and food, many stories, and his heartfelt clarinet playing. He will always live in our hearts and will be greatly missed. May his memory be eternal.
