Spyridone “Sam” A. Pavlatos

Spiridone “Sam” A. Pavlatos, age 93, of Chicago, passed away October 29, 2019. Beloved husband of Helen, nee Allen; loving father of Randy (Cathy) and Kerry (Jolie); cherished grandfather of Gregory and Alexis; dear brother of the late Florence (the late Art) Soens, the late Martha Ruczyk, the late Nick (Vaso), the late Chris (Georgeanne), the late Terri Pavlatos and the late Emily (the late Royce) Harrison; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews and their families.

Sam enjoyed fishing, bowling, baseball, and family, especially time spent with his beloved wife, Helen. He served in the US Navy during WWII and was part of the first wave at Normandy. He was grateful to have survived that event when most didn’t. While he will be deeply missed by so many, we know he is in a better place.

Visitation Saturday, November 2nd, 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 6041 W. Diversey Ave., Chicago. Interment Elmwood Cemetery.

Kindly omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to Foundation Fighting Blindness, 7168 Columbian Gateway Drive, Suite 100, Columbia, MD 21046, http://www.fightingblindness.org

May His Memory Be Eternal.
