From our first phone call to our first meeting, Memory Eternal made an incredibly difficult and emotional process feel easier and more manageable. They guided us with compassion, kindness, patience, and thoughtfulness every step of the way, always making sure we felt supported and cared for. On the day of the funeral, Vanessa, the President, handled absolutely everything. She anticipated every detail, guided us and made sure everything went smoothly. She ensured we were able to simply focus on what mattered most, being with and greeting our family and friends, sharing memories, and honoring our mom. What truly stood out was their follow up. We have heard from them weekly just to check in and see how we are feeling and offering words of encouragement and consolation. Vanessa, Chris and Irene are not just a business, they embrace you and treat you like family. They are a class1 operation.  Vanessa even honored us by attending our mom’s forty day memorial and shared lovely words with us all.  Their warmth, professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine compassion meant more to our family than we can express. We will be eternally grateful for the way they cared for our family and helped us honor our mom with such dignity and love. Her compassion throughout the process, from planing services for my beloved mother,  to actually attending the services, and make sure everything went smoothly, was amazing.  Vanessa did not just disappear after the day of the funeral.  She followed up to make sure everything went as planned and to check in on me and our family. She made sure we got pictures of all the flower arrangements and notified me as soon as the death certificates were ready.  I cannot recommend  Memory Eternal enough.

Every detail of our mother’s funeral was handled so professionally.  Our family lives out of town and they worked with us over Zoom to get as much planning done ahead of us arriving for the funeral.  Our mother looked as beautiful as ever as if she were asleep.  Flowers were arranged beautifully.  The funeral procession was lead by escort cars that allowed for a smooth funeral procession. All the same professionalism that was given to our father’s funeral 15 years ago was given to our mother.  For that, we are forever grateful. My Father passed away and it was horrifically painful.  So many arrangements had to be made so quickly.  Ari was very professional, detail-orientated, and made the process very smooth.  Vanessa was extraordinarily helpful, caring, and sweet.  If it wasn't for her, there is NO way I could have gotten through this.  I am so thankful that my Father had made arrangements with her prior to his passing.  I could not imagine going through the process with anyone other than Vanessa and her company.  It was the first funeral I ever had to arrange as an adult - as both my parents were gone.  From collection of my Father's body, selection of coffin, St. George church arrangements, financial details, floral arrangements, prayer cards, the live bugler and National Guard personnel, cemetery, and grieving, she may it as smooth of a process as it could be.  The mortician respectfully made my Father look wonderful for his final resting place.  Also, we were very impressed how they secured intersections while our funeral procession went through.  I am so thankful Vanessa made my Father's military service a priority and she arranged such a special and heart-touching moment when the live bugler played Taps.  I'm forever grateful for that.  Just grieving took all my brain space capacity, so I am beyond thankful we ended up in her hands.  Her wonderfully sweet puppy made for the best emotional support as well. As I think about the many years we have been in this business, I am inspired by the dedicated team of funeral professionals who have helped us lovingly serve our valued customers. Our Mission

Memory Eternal Funeral Directors has been upholding the core of Orthodox Christian beliefs for decades. We specialize in the sacred funeral traditions of the Greek Orthodox churches.

We serve all denominations following those particular faith traditions with reverence as we always have.

Through stewardship we have supported the Orthodox church initiatives throughout the Chicago metropolitan area and remain dedicated to volunteerism and service as we have for many years.

Our staff of experienced funeral directors have served veterans with traditional military funerals, firefighters, law enforcement and other community service traditions.

We also have extensive experience with shipping decedents to their final resting place, or from outside Chicagoland to us.

Family means everything to us. Our relationships continue long after a loss because we know grief continues after the initial mourning period. We will always be there for our beloved families. It is our sincerest privilege to honor those lives lost with reverence and love.
