Christ N. Kouvelis, 82, of Morton Grove and born in Alepohori, Greece, passed away June 16, 2020. Beloved husband of Stratigoula, nee Georgostathis; loving father of Ekaterini “Kathy” and Helen (Christ Bravos); cherished grandfather of Sara and George; devoted son of the late Nikolaos and Ekaterini, nee Ivaliotes; dear brother of Xenofon Kouvelis and Georgia (the late Kostas) Antoniou; fond brother in law and uncle of many.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday morning, June 19, 2020, at Transfiguration of Our Lord Greek Orthodox Chapel located at 2905 N. Thatcher Road, (located in Elmwood Cemetery), River Grove, IL, for Visitation at 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service begins at 11:00 a.m. All guests must wear a facemask and observe social distance. Due to the current restrictions, which include a 10-guest limit inside the chapel and at the graveside, the Funeral and Interment services beginning at 11:00 a.m. are private.
