Rita Pietrzyk nee Tsimbidis, 90, fell asleep in our Lord on September 14, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Stanley Pietryzk. Loving mother of Melody (William) Macmillan, Joy (Paul) Ciofalo, and Glory (the late David) Rosato. Proud grandmother of Adam (Patricia), Andrea, and Nicholas and great-grandmother of William and Benjamin. Dear sister of the late Constantine, Nicholas, May, John, Jerry, and Areti. Cherished aunt of Maryann, Anastasia, and John. Dear cousin and friend to many who will miss her. Rita was very active in her beloved Greek community. She was a member of the church choir, Philoptochos, Pan Orthodox choir, Assumption parish council, Synergy club, Paleohoritan club, and was a very active and beloved volunteer at Assumption Greek Orthodox church. Friends and family will meet Saturday 9:30AM for visitation at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 601 S. Central Road, Chicago, IL with funeral service to follow at 10AM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rita’s name to Assumption Greek Orthodox Church or the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.
