Vasilios G. Pontikis, fell asleep in our Lord on April 12, 2022. Beloved husband of Maria Pontikis, nee Sarantakos. Loving father of George (Lori) Pontikis, Vickie (Chris) Balabanos, Martha (Jeff) Serviss, and Pete (Michelle) Pontikis. Proud grandfather of Kristen, Peter, Bill, Alexander, Marianna, Chloe, Charissa, and Olivia. Dear brother of John (Pat) Pontikis, Pete (the late Eugenia) Pontikis, Areti (the late Paul) Spiratos, Stavroula (Nikolaos) Saltouros, Christ (Alexandra) Pontikis, and the late Ekaterini (the late Stavros) Adamidis. Cherished son of the late George and Vasiliki Pontikis. Dear uncle, cousin, and friend of many who will miss him greatly. Friends and family will meet Friday, April 15, at 9:30AM for visitation with funeral service to follow at 10AM at Holy Taxiarhai and St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church, 7373 N. Caldwell Avenue, Niles. Interment to follow at Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines. The service may be viewed live or recorded at St. Haralambos Youtube channel.
