John Rassogianis, age 86, fell asleep in the Lord October 17, 2022. Devoted son of the late Constantine and Anna Rassogianis. Dear brother of Pauline (Paul) Franks and Alexander Rassogianis. Fond uncle of Anna (Garen) Toloken and the late Christopher Franks. Great uncle of Nia Toloken. John graduated from Morton East High School in 1954 and received his Bachelor of Arts in French and Spanish and Master of Arts degree in Education from Northern Illinois University. He studied in Mexico and Spain and taught Spanish at Hinsdale Junior High School, Saint Charles High School and Proviso West High School. John worked for the Illinois Humanities Council as a Project Planner, as a Director of the Cultural & Arts Program at Greek-American Community Services, as a counselor for the Cook County Department of Aging, as a committee member for the Greek American Nursing Home, as Program Chairperson for the Hellenic Professional Society of Illinois and a member of the Berwyn Club. Funeral service was held privately October 24, 2022. John is buried at Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove, IL. Memorial donations to NAMI or Assumption Greek Orthodox Church would be appreciated.
