Angeliki “Angie” Kontalonis

Angeliki “Angie” Kontalonis, nee Callas, age 86. Beloved wife of the late Michael Kontalonis. Loving mother of Electra and Nickolaos (Sara). Cherished Grandmother of Zoe, Michael, and Christopher. Devoted daughter of late Ioannis and Demetra Kalogeropoulos. Dear Sister of Sam (Katina), Vasilios (Konstantina), Angelo (Lambrini), Christos (Eleni), George (Georgia), and the late Athanasia (Konstantinos). Fond aunt, cousin, and friend to many who will miss her. She was born in Thana, Arcadia, Greece and first immigrated to Toronto, Canada in the late ‘50s and then to Chicago, IL in the early ’60s with her 5 brothers. Her loves were her family, friends, gardening, and cooking all her Greek specialties. She was a proud Hellene. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation can be made in Angeliki’s name to St. Demetrios Church-Chicago for the Mural Restoration Fund or to the Greek American Rehabilitation and Care Centre. Friends and family will meet at 9AM Saturday, April 17, 2021 at St. Demetrios-Chicago, funeral service 10AM. Interment Rosehill Cemetery. Arrangements by John G.
