Betty Thalia Chacharon

Betty Thalia Chacharon (née Bilder), born April 9, 1930, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2022 at age 92. Beloved wife of the late Themis Chacharon; loving mother of Gregory (Debi), Andrew, and Diane Chacharon; grandmother to Alex, Stephanie (Adam Clemons), and Christina Chacharon; great grandmother to Levi and Luke Clemons; mother-in-law to Claire Chacharon; dear sister of Chryssie Bilder Tavrides, the late C. Joseph Bilder and Dorothea Bilder; daughter of the late Angelo K. Bilder and Lelica Bilder (née Joannides); fond aunt, cousin, and friend of many. 

Betty will be remembered for her quick wit, amazing strength, huge heart and the world’s best baklava. Her accomplishments are many, but the most valuable and precious were her commitment to family and her unending love. She will be deeply missed and will live on in our hearts forever. May her memory be eternal. 

Visitation Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 10:00 AM until time of Memorial Service 11:30 AM at N. H. Scott & Hanekamp, 1240 Waukegan Road, Glenview, IL 60025. The Memorial Service may be viewed live or recorded on our Facebook page. Inurnment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove, IL.
