Daphne Rekas nee Daravanis, age 97, fell asleep in the Lord December 10, 2022. Former wife of the late Nicholas Rekas. Loving mother of John (the late Lisa) and Frank Rekas. Devoted daughter of the late George and Fotini Daravanis. Proud grandmother of Samantha Rekas and Alexandrea Rekas. Former mother-in-law of Carla Vittorini. Dear sister of the late Mary (the late Tom) Gregory and Arthur G. Daravanis. Daphne’s proudest achievement was being a mother and grandmother. Visitation Monday, December 19, 2022 from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service 11:00 AM at Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church 2727 West Winona Street, Chicago, IL 60625. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove, IL. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Chicago Hearing Society 1444 West Willow Street, Chicago, IL 60642 would be appreciated.
