Evangelia N. Sideris, age 83, of Skopi, Arcadia Greece, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2020. Loving mother of Emy (Greg) Romanelli and Barbara (the late Dino) Dallas; devoted daughter of the late Nikolaos & Pagona Sideris; proud Yiayia of Christopher, Dimitrios (Vasiliki), Christina, Evangelos, Derrick (Nicole), Alexandra & Max and great-Yiayia of Konstantina. Dear sister of the late Anastasios (Dimitra) Sideris, Eleni (the late Vasilios) Karapanos, the late Panagiotis (Dimitra) Sideris and Anna (the late George) Pappas and fond aunt of many nieces and nephews and their families, both here and in Greece.
Evangelia managed to successfully balance her life with the love of her family, hard work at the bakery, and devotion to St. George Greek Orthodox Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Educational Society.
Family and friends will gather on Monday morning, February 17, 2020, for Visitation at 10:00 a.m., until the Funeral service begins at 11:30 a.m., at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 2701 N. Sheffield Ave., Chicago, IL 60614. Interment Ridgewood Memorial Park Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL. Memorial tributes may be made in Evangelia’s name to St. George Greek Orthodox Church.
