Joel Quiachon Fernandez, age 50, passed away April 10, 2022. Devoted son of Teodulo and Eleanor Fernandez. Dear brother of Jeanette Fernandez-Rockey. Fond uncle of Maya and Simon Rockey. Joel is a gentle, kind, loyal, selfless and loving soul. He loved restoring vintage clothing; collecting vinyl and art; sharing his love of technology, investments, music & movies; gardening and organizing for my parents; and indulging in smooches from our dogs. He spent the last decade wrapping up his Masters Degree in Computer Programming at DePaul University. My family and I find comfort in the outpouring of love and fond stories that have been shared by the many who love him. There have been so many affirmations since his physical passing to show us that he’s very much alive and well.
