It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Soterios “Sam” Boudouvas on August 27, 2021. He immigrated to America in 1951 in search of the American dream. Through sacrifice and hard work, he achieved it. He enjoyed forging new friendships, ballroom dancing at the Aragon, Greek dancing at parties, and serving his customers at his diner. On a visit back to his homeland in 1964 he met and married the love of his life Eleni. Sam, Eleni and their three children, made countless friends through the Greek Orthodox community who eventually became family. The life he built for his family was second to none. He loved taking his children to Greece, where they could spend time with his extended family, and experience the culture of his homeland. He enjoyed playing cards, investing in local real estate, as well as the stock market. Upon his retirement his cherished moments were spent with his beloved grandchildren, transporting them from school, watching their many sporting events, attending their recitals, and spending the holidays together. He will be deeply missed but will always live in the hearts of the many who loved him.
Beloved husband of Helen Boudouvas nee Andarti. Loving father of Effie (George) Kouriabalis, Vickie (Paul) LeFevre, and John (Toula nee Varvouletos) Boudouvas.
