Danis Ballas, age 73, of Kefalonia Greece, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2019. Beloved husband of Sandy, nee Dravilas, loving father of George (Stavroula) and proud grandfather of Dionisi and Stelios Ballas. Dear brother of the late Gus (Magdalini) Ballas, Yulia (Bobby) Tzannetatos, the late Pavlo (the late Kalifroni) Ballas, the late Marino (Vaggelia) Ballas, the late Nikos (the late Paraskevi) Ballas; brother-in-law of Georgia (George) Drebos and Yianni (Filio) Dravilas; special nephew of Uncle John (Demetra) Chiplakos and fond uncle of many nieces and nephews and their families. Family and friends will meet on Thursday morning, August 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. until the Funeral service begins at 12:00 p.m. at St. Lazarus Greek Orthodox Chapel, 9900 N. Milwaukee Ave., Des Plaines, IL 60016. Interment Ridgewood Memorial Park. Kindly omit flowers.
