Angelo John Demetriou (84), loving father of Nicole Demetriou and Kristine Marubio, passed peacefully on 8/21/21 in Tampa, Florida with family at his side. He was the devoted son of John and Angeline Demetriou, kind brother to Katherine, friend to many, and proud papou to Mirabella and Max Marubio.
A celebration of his life will commence Tuesday, 8/31/21 with a visitation from 9-10am followed by funeral service at 10:00am at Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2727 Winona, Chicago, IL 60625. The funeral service may be viewed live or any time after on the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church Youtube channel. Interment to follow at Irving Park Cemetery, 7777 West Irving Park Rd Chicago IL 60634.
Angelo graduated from De Paul University, served in the U.S. Army, and completed an MBA from the University of Chicago. He loved listening to jazz and watching basketball – college or professional. He was a kind man who loved nothing more than sharing a Greek meal and drink with his friends and family.
