Athena Moukas

Athena Moukas, age 94, fell asleep in the Lord August 25, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Xenophon Moukas. Devoted daughter of the late Constantine and Efimia Godellas. Loving mother of Helen (Don) Mariano, Dora (the late Nick) Colovos and John Moukas. Proud grandmother of Mia (Spiro) Roumpas and Nina Mariano.  Great grandmother of Nikki Roumpas. Dear sister of the late Dr. William (the late Elaine) Godellas and the late Eleni (Diogeni) Kobuzi. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Athena was a wonderful wife, mother and yiayia. She loved to cook and always welcomed everyone in her home. Visitation Friday, August 27, 2021 from 11:30 AM until time of Funeral Service 12:00 PM at Saint Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church 7373 North Caldwell Avenue, Niles, IL 60714. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove, IL. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Saint Jude Children’s Hospital or Saint Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church would be appreciated.
