Dina Delalis, nee Tsafoulias, age 90, of Skoura, Laconia Greece, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Kiriakos and loving mother of George (Eve) and Peter (Alysondra) Delalis. Proud Grandmother of Bryce and Alexis Delalis and devoted daughter of the late Petros and Clemandia, nee Fountas, Tsafoulias. Dear sister of Bill (Demetra) Tsafoulias, Nick (Martha) Tsafoulias, Argyro (the late Christos) Gouvis, the late Panayiota “Pota” (Pano) Kontou, the late Socrates (Effie) Tsafoulias and the late Pano Tsafoulias. Fond aunt, cousin and friend of many, both here and in Greece.
Dina was devoted to both her family and her God. She proudly raised her family in the Orthodox Christianity Community, within St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church in Chicago, St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Las Vegas, and St. Sofia Greek Orthodox Church in Elgin. She could always be depended on to volunteer anywhere she was needed.
In light of current health guidelines, family and friends will gather, by invitation only, on Wednesday morning, September 23, 2020, for Visitation at 9:30 a.m. and Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m., at St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church located at 5649 N. Sheridan Road, Chicago, IL 60660. Interment Elmwood Cemetery. Of course, masks and proper social distancing are mandatory.
