Loving mother of Presbytera Dana (Rev. Peter) Spiro, Evan (Maria) Regopoulos, Georgina (Tommy) Pappas and Stacie (Athanasios) Tzouras.
Devoted daughter of George C. Βacos and Sultana (Vougis) Smith; step-daughter of Frieda (Bouras) Bacos. Proud grandmother of Theodore, Elaina, and Steven Spiro; Stathi, Niko, and Selia Regopoulos; Mitchell, Eliana, Vivienne, and Eve Pappas; Ourania, Eleni, and Kiriakos Tzouras.
Fond cousin of many.
Elaine dedicated her life to her family and volunteering. She was a strong advocate of religious education and believed in the power of prayer. She was the Sunday School Director for 30 years at Saint Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, Palatine, Illinois, wedding coordinator for over 600 weddings, PTA President within District 15, contributing writer of many Christian articles, and active in her community.
Visitation Monday, 10/2/23 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home 330 West Golf Road, Schaumburg, Illinois 60195. Trisagion service at 6:00 pm.
Funeral Service Tuesday, 10/3/23 10:00 AM at Saint Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, 133 South Roselle Road, Palatine, Illinois 60067. Interment Elmwood Cemetery.
