Helen Dilberakis

DILBERAKIS, HELEN (Eleni) nee RALLIS, 102 years old, fell asleep in the Lord’s arms on May 8, 2022. Widow of her beloved husband Petros Dilberakis (died 1990). Devoted mother of Sophia and Anastasia Dilberakis, aunt to 10 nieces and nephews in the United States and Greece. She is predeceased by eight siblings and many friends she held dear throughout the decades. A survivor of both the Nazi Occupation of Greece and a challenging immigration to the United States, Helen lived her life fearlessly and on her own terms. As a devout Greek Orthodox Christian, Helen prayed daily that her soul would find rest in eternal heaven and be united with her loved ones. She passed exactly as she had wanted. Peacefully, in her sleep, wearing her cross and having received Holy Communion. Family and friends will meet at St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church, 5649 N. Sheridan Rd., Chicago, Monday, May 23, 9 am for visitation, with funeral service to follow at 10 am. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove. The funeral service can be viewed live or recorded at St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Youtube page.

May her memory be eternal.
