James J. Corolis, veteran U.S. Army Air Corps WWII, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side. Beloved husband of Mary Lee (nee Chones) for 60 years. Loving father of Melanie (Dr. Nicholas) Chionis and Joanne Reichert. Devoted grandfather of four special grandchildren, Lexi (Dimitri), Lisa, Blake, and Kennedi. Devoted son of the late John and Panagiota Corolis. Dear brother of the late Nicholas Corolis of San Diego, CA. Son-in-law of the late George and Helen Chones. Fond uncle of Debra Price Prodromos and Dr. Kevin Price. Longtime steward and past President of Saints Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, past Commander American Legion Post 1039, past President Glenbrook Shrine Club, and 50-year member of Hellenic Masonic Lodge 1084, A.F. & A.M., and Medinah Shriners A.A.O.N.M.S., Member of Hospital Committee Shriners Children Hospital Chicago, and Member of Sigma Phi Delta Engineering Fraternity. To the Corolis Family. So sorry to learn of Jim’s recent falling asleep in the Lord. May he rest in peace and may his memory be forever eternal.

Melanie and Joanne my heart goes out to both of you and your families and your beautiful mother on the loss of your father. He definitely lived a long and wonderful life but it is never long enough. He was a wonderful, kind and very respectful person whom I have known for 45 years now.
