John Sakos, age 90, fell asleep in the Lord May 23, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Angeliki née Teligades for 57 years. Loving father of Stella (the late Ted) Sakkos, Tom (Cindy) Sakos and Sandy (John) Kougias. Devoted son of the late Anastasios and Stavroula Sakos. Proud grandfather of Maria (Spiro) Diakatos, Nick (Joanna) Sakkos, John Sakos and Anna Kougias. Great grandfather of Stella and Jerry Diakatos and Theodore and Viviana Sakkos. Dear brother of Athanasia Sakkos. Fond uncle, cousin and friend of many. John loved playing gin rummy and going to Greece and sitting at the kafenio. Visitation Saturday May 27 from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service 10:30 AM at Saint John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, 2350 East Dempster Street, Des Plaines, IL 60016.
