Louis Steve Demas, age 60, fell asleep in the Lord January 10, 2024. Devoted son of Maria and the late Steve Demas. Dear brother of Kiki (George) Korkofigas. Fond uncle of Maria (Richard Rizzo), Evan (Emily), Stavros (Daisy), Dimitrios (Joie) Korkofigas. Great uncle of Daniella and Isabella Rizzo, George and Luke Korkofigas and Sadie and Delilah Korkofigas.
Louie was a relentlessly up-beat guy with a larger-than-life personality. He was quick witted with a sharp sense of humor and his presence was always felt, no matter what size the room. He could sometimes be private in his personal life but was never reserved about his love for his family. And he especially adored his grand-nieces and nephews. The Holidays brought out the best in Louie as he was always a source of generosity and laughter at family get-togethers. He was a fanatic for Chicago Sports and his love for the Cubs was only topped by his hatred for the White Sox. In addition to professional sports, Louie was passionate about politics, conspiracies, and never being part of a dull moment. He will be remembered, and proudly, as somebody who could make you smile just as big as he could make you frown.
Visitation Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service 11:00 AM at Saint Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church, 7373 North Caldwell Avenue, Niles, IL 60714. Interment to follow at Ridgewood Memorial Park Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Saint Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church would be appreciated.
