Mena Steve Dallas passed away on December 23, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Leta Dallas nee Dimson. Loving father of Steve (Pat) Dallas, Jim (Qing) Dallas, George (Kristin) Dallas, William (Leslie) Dallas, Margot (Bill) Vaselopulos, and Nikki Dallas. Proud grandfather of Nicholas, Steven, Casey, Lauren, Samantha, Christopher, Chase, Chris, Alexis, Kaylynn, Leta, and Steven. Cherished son of the late Mary and Steve Dallas. Dear brother of the late Jim, Aphrodite, and Nick. Dear uncle, cousin, and friend to many who will miss him. Steve was the owner of the Colonial Inn Restaurant in Schiller Park, Illinois for over 25 years. An avid handball player into his 80’s, he could be found playing at Lattof YMCA in Des Plaines on many afternoons. Steve loved food, books and classical music. He will always be remembered for his warm, loving, and kind spirit, and his equanimity. Friends and family will meet for visitation at 10AM on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 with chapel services to follow at 11AM at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 W.
