Nick F. Carallis was born in upstate New York, moved to Greece with his family at the start of the Great Depression, and came back to the U.S. after WWII. Nick worked at General Motors for many years before retiring. He was an avid bowler, walker, and reader with a sharp wit. Beloved husband of the late Anna Carallis, nee Voulgaris; devoted son of the late Theodora and the late Efstratios Carallis; dear brother of the late Harriet (the late Peter) Papastratakos, the late Anastasia (the late Nick) Protopappas, the late Peter (the late Mary) Carallis, the late John (the late Maria) Carallis, Elizabeth (the late Vasili) Dongas, and Nicki (the late John) Varvisotis; fond uncle and great uncle of many.

Visitation, Thursday, February 27, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home located at 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg. Family and friends will gather on Friday morning, February 28, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., for the Funeral Service at Ascension of Our Lord Greek Orthodox Church located at 1207 Riverwoods Road, Lincolnshire. Interment Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove, IL.
