Nick J. Kougias, age 90, fell asleep in our Lord on December 10, 2021. Army veteran of the Korean war. Beloved husband of the late Eleni Kougias. Loving father of Constantina (Keith) Sloffer and the late John G. Kougias. Proud grandfather of Joseph (Erica), Alexander, and the late Nicholas Kougias and great-grandfather of Nicholas and Saige. Cherished son of the late Calliope (nee Papanicolaou) and Ioannis Kougias. Dear brother of Vasiliki “Bessie” (the late Nick) Psarros, Eleni “Helen” (the late Jimmy) Tsengouras, Panagiotis “Peter” (Anna) Kougias, and the late Katerina “Katina” (the late Solon) Roupas. Dear uncle, cousin, godfather, adoptive grandfather, and friend of many who will miss him. Friends and family will meet Saturday, December 18 at Holy Taxiarhai and St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church at 9:30AM for visitation with funeral service to follow at 10AM. The service may be viewed live or recorded at Holy Taxiarhai and St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox. Interment Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove, IL.
