Peter G. Petros, age 86, fell asleep in the Lord June 19, 2023. Beloved husband of Betty Petros née Gravenites for 52 years. Loving father of Dean (Desiree) Petros and Angelo Petros. Devoted son of Gust and Sarah Petros. Proud grandfather of Blake and Alexis Petros. Dear brother of Thelma (the late Thomas) Katsiyiannis, Bessie (Charles) Musa and the late Thomas Petros. Fond uncle and cousin of many.
Peter was always an optimist, had a passion for life, adventure and was selfless in his devotion to family and friends. He was a past president of the Order of AHEPA Oak Lawn – Englewood Chapter Number 323 and a 63-year member of the Hellenic Lodge Number 1084 Free Masons. He passed away after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Visitation Monday June 26, 2023 from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service 11:00 AM at Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 10301 South Kolmar Avenue, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Evergreen Park, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church would be appreciated.
