Proud grandfather of Theodore (Christine), Yvonne, Samantha, Madeline, Elizabeth, Spyros James, and Emily Kathryn. Dear brother of Georgia (the late Peter) Geannopoulos, Dr. Taki (Athena) Vaselopulos, Nikki (the late Mimi) Giavosoglou, the late George Vaselopulos, the late Stavroula (the late Athanasios) Sakelariou, and the late Stella (the late Theodore) Koroneos, dear brother-in-law of the late Constantinos “Gus” (the late Despina) Mantis, and cousin to Stella (the late James) Triantafel. Cherished son of the late Demetrios and Maria (nee Damopoulos) Vaselopulos. Fond uncle, cousin, koumbaro, nouno, and friend to many who will miss him. Arriving in America as an immigrant with $50 in his pocket, he did well to provide for his family, build a successful business, and establish a reputation as a wise counselor to many in the Greek-American community. Family and friends will meet Saturday morning at Sts. Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 1401 Wagner Rd., Glenview for visitation from 9:30AM until time of funeral service at 10AM.
