Thalia D. Chresanthakes, (“Mrs. C.”) age 88, fell asleep in the Lord on August 7, 2023. Devoted and Beloved wife of the late Christ P. Chresanthakes. Loving mother of Anna (Bill) Stotis, Peter Chresanthakes and Georgia (Pete) Koupas. Devoted daughter of the late Peter and Ellie Dracos. Proud Yiayia of Katherine Stotis (Will Dooling), George (Lindsay) Stotis, Chrisanthy Stotis (Chase Rieger), Chris P. Chresanthakes, Thalia Chresanthakes, Theodoros P. Chresanthakes, Demetra Koupas, Thalia Koupas and Niko Koupas. Great-grandmother of Basil Stotis and Annalise Stotis. Dear sister of Mary (Evange) Bozinis, Peggy (John) Pann, Doris (Tom) Iskalis, Carole (the late Dan) Scheve, Bill (Colleen) Dracos, Nicki (Chuck) Coxon and the late Margaret (Themy) Gliatas and the late Elaine (John) Rompella. Loving Sister-in-law of Mary Papadopoulos. Fond aunt, godmother, and friend of many.

Thalia was a longtime resident of Wilmette, IL. She loved reading, and her crossword puzzles. She was an avid gardener, a great cook and enjoyed travelling with family and friends. Thalia was a trained registered nurse and owner of Cardinal Liquors, Lincoln Square, Chicago. Thalia was a past president of the Zoe Chapter of the Daughters of Penelope.

Visitation Thursday, August 10 from 4pm – 8pm at N.H. Scott & Hannekamp Funeral Home 1240 Waukegan Road, Glenview, IL 60025. Funeral Service Friday, August 11th at 10am at Saints Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church 1401 Wagner Road Glenview, IL 60025. The Funeral Service may be viewed live or recorded at Saints Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church. Interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to AHEPA District 13 Scholarship PO Box 576, Bedford, IL 60499 would be appreciated. Arrangements by Memory Eternal Directors, Ltd. (847)-375-0095.
