Vera Orfanos, nee Komon, age 94, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2020. Beloved wife of the late George A.; loving mother of Anthony (Joanne) and Steven (Linda); devoted daughter of the late Stephen and the late Kaliopi, nee Patraeus, Komon. Proud grandmother of Alex, Claire (Michael), Carolyn, Catherine and George. Dear sister of Rita (the late Jim) Christie, Elaine (John) Komon Kostopoulos, Penny King, the late Stephen Komon, the late Peter Komon, the late Soterios (Carol) Komon.

Memorial tributes may be made in Vera’s name to SS Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 1401 Wagner Road, Glenview, IL 60025.

Dear Tony, Joanne, Steve and Linda and to all your families we send our deepest sympathy for your moms loss. Vera had such a great spirit! She was lovely and was one of the first to welcome me to the Lekatsos family and to the extended families when I first met her. I never forgot that. May her memory be eternal.

Vera was a sweetheart! The epitome of grace and elegance. A wonderful wife and best friend to her husband and proud mother and grandmother. Tony and Steve, she could not have been more proud of you and your beautiful wives and children.
Her eyes would sparkle when she spoke of her grandchildren. Truly a lovely and graceful woman.
We loved you, Vera! You will be greatly missed. Thank you for enriching the lives of all who knew you.

Dear Tony, Steve and family,
We were so saddened to hear of the loss of your mom, our Aunt Vera. We will always remember her wonderful laugh and her great stories! She was a joy to be around and are so grateful for all of the family memories.
