William “Bill” P. Strategos, age 94, fell asleep in the Lord March 10, 2024. Beloved husband of Ann Strategos née Vlahogenis for 67 years. Loving father of Toula (Randall) Turzinski and Marietta (Rocky) Quiroga. Devoted son of the late Panagioti and Pothety Strategos. Proud grandfather of Katrina (John) Ryan, Stefanie (George) Tselos, Alex Turzinski and William “Billy”, Christopher and Michael Quiroga. Great grandfather of Konstantinos Tselos. Dear brother of the late Kerani (Theodore) Sofios, Koula (Laki) Gikas, George (Angela) Strategos and Liberty (Othon) Poteres. Fond uncle and cousin of many.
Bill was not only an enthusiastic reader, but also a prolific author of sci-fi stories. Alongside his literary pursuits he found immense joy in cycling and prioritized his health with great care and consciousness.
Visitation Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Cumberland Funeral Chapels, 8300 West Lawrence Avenue, Norridge, IL 60706. Funeral Service Thursday, March 14, 2024, 10:00 AM at Saint Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, 133 South Roselle Road, Palatine, IL 60067. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove, IL.
