George Sakkas, age 90, fell asleep in the Lord December 27, 2023. Beloved husband of Donna Sakkas née Panagiotopoulou for 49 years. Loving father of Dora Sakkas and Dino (Jessica) Sakkas. Devoted son of the late Theodore and Kyriaki Sakkas. Proud grandfather of Anthony Papaioanou, Gabriella Kyriaki and Leila Georgia Sakkas. Dear brother of Evaggelia Pertrakis and Koula Liolis. Fond uncle and cousin of many.
Visitation Friday, January 5, 2024 from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service 11:00 AM at The Greek Orthodox Chapel of Saint Lazarus, 9900 Milwaukee Avenue, Des Plaines, IL 60016. Interment to follow at Ridgewood Memorial Park Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Saint George Greek Orthodox Church would be appreciated.
