James Kretsos, age 83, fell asleep in the Lord January 16, 2023. Beloved husband of Lilly Kretsos nee Rorris for 57 years. Loving father of Angie (Casey) Brej, Irene (Scott) Lang and John (Maria) Kretsos. Devoted son of the late John and Irene Kretsos. Proud grandfather of Kathleen Brej and Jenifer (Craig) Belcastro, Tatiana, Anthony and Niko Lang and Demetri, Dionysi and Christo Kretsos. Great grandfather of Beckett and Camden Belcastro. Dear brother of the late Dena (Stellio) Papanikolaou. Fond uncle and cousin of many. James played the bouzouki, enjoyed fishing and loved to learn. Funeral Service Friday, January 20, 2023 11:00 AM at Saint Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church 7373 North Caldwell Avenue, Niles, IL 60714. Interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie, IL. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Saint Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church would be appreciated.
