John P. Maris, age 76, fell asleep in the Lord August 7, 2022. Beloved husband of Smaragda (nee Alatsis) Maris. Loving father of Peter (Vickie) Maris, Pantelis “Mike” (Irene) Maris and Antonis (Stamatia) Maris. Devoted son of Panayotis and Despina Maris. Proud grandfather of Christina, Elaina, Demetra, Yianni and Anita Maris. Dear brother of George (Joyce) Maris, Chrysoula (Socrates) Balageorge, Andy (Helen) Maris and the late Antonis (Katina) Maris. Fond uncle and cousin of many. Visitation Friday, August 12, 2022 from 9:30 AM until time of Funeral Service 10:30 AM at Saint Andrew Greek Orthodox Church, 5649 North Sheridan Road, Chicago, IL 60660.
