Theodora Gerontakis née Botsios, age 81, fell asleep in the Lord March 9, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Basil Gerontakis. Loving mother of George and the late Mary Gerontakis. Devoted daughter of Louis and Mary Botsios. Dear sister of Georgia Kanios, Toula Mourafetis, Jenny Kireopoulos, Elaine Kirner, the late William Botsios, Christina Cardoso, Samuel Botsios, Katherine Pittman, Connie Manitzas and Gus Botsios. Fond aunt of numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Teddy worked for at Barrington Orthopedic Specialists for thirty years, her last position being that of Office Manager. Teddy was a beloved member of her family, known for showering her nieces and nephews with much love and affection. Teddy and her late husband Basil traveled to Greece several times, and they also enjoyed time in Florida. Teddy was a dog lover, especially of her Golden Retrievers. Teddy lived at The Danish Home in her recent years, and she received loving care from caregivers Crystal Baker and Lidia Olivares. Visitation Friday, March 17, 2023 from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service 11:00 AM at Saint Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, 133 South Roselle Road, Palatine, IL 60067. The Funeral Service may be viewed live or recorded at St. Nectarios YouTube channel. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington, IL.
